Hello, I am Judge Charles J. Dechon and I would like to ask for your vote once again this election year.
I have served in this town most of my adult life and my tenure as your Town Justice has only reinforced my belief that the people of this town are its greatest commodity. Wawarsing deserves a town judge that not only knows the law, but knows our townspeople and communities. There is not a day goes by that I do not understand that I serve at your discretion. I am both proud and humbled by the trust you have placed in me to serve as the Town of Wawarsing Town Justice. Reelect someone who truly cares about the people and is not just interested in a title.

Within a year of taking the bench as Town of Wawarsing Town Justice, Judge Dechon was asked by his fellow Judges to serve on the Board of Directors of the Ulster County Magistrates Association. A position he continues in today. Judge Dechon keeps him abreast of the most recent constitutional and legislative changes in the law. As promised in his previous campaign Judge Dechon is a town judge who understands that when you need a search warrant, you need it now! When you need an Order of Protection, you need it now! According to the description of a Town Justice, he must be a town judge who will be available for our State Troopers and Sheriff's Deputies anytime of the day or night when violent offenders need to be removed from our community. Judge Dechon is a Town Justice in every sense of these words.
